              Installation Instructions - KAV/KIS 2009

 - The valid Activation Code must be available for installation of the
   Kaspersky trial. Use the following codes for KAV/KIS 2009:

   KAV 2009: E1GD1-J9TDU-T1NEU-ZJAG8

   KIS 2009: GEE3K-MF34C-35AFF-M2U3B

To DOWNLOAD KAV/KIS 2009:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Click on the word'Download'next to the desired product on this page. 
   (http://www.ice-kav.com/kav8.php or http://www.ice-kav.com/kis8.php)

2. You will be prompted to 'Save' or 'Run' the file, choose 'Save'.

3. After clicking 'Save' a new window will appear asking you to choose
   a location on your pc for the file, by default this will usually be
   the 'My Documents' folder. The default location will be displayed in
   the 'Save In:' rectangular box at the top of the window. Before
   clicking the 'Save' button in the bottom right corner, take note of
   the location on the pc where you are saving the file if it is not the
   'My Documents' folder.

4. After clicking 'Save' the download will begin. When the download is
   completed click the 'Close' button.

After the download process is complete you are ready to begin the
install process.

To INSTALL KAV/KIS 2009:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Double-click the kav8.0.0.454en.exe or kis8.0.0.454en.exe file to start
   the install process. Follow the installer wizard as it guides you through 
   the Welcome message and the License agreement. Click Next to continue.

2. You will see a window indicating where the program will be installed, 
   C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\, this is fine, do not change anything

3. Click Next - You will be given the option to do a Complete or Custom 
   install. Choose Complete - and click Next. The first part of the 
   installation completes after you click the 'Install' button in the next 
   window.

4. A new window will appear that begins walking you through the
   initial program settings.

   FOR NEW USERS:

   -You will be asked to provide activation data. Select Use
   Activation Code and enter one of the codes provided at the begining
   of this document.

   FOR USERS UPGRADING FROM KAV/KIS 6.0 or 7.0:

   -Make sure the box 'Activation data' is checked in the window that
   indicates objects from KAV/KIS 6.0 or 7.0 have been detected; this will
   tell KAV 6.0 to use the existing, valid license key you used with KAV
   5.0. New users WILL NOT see this window. Click 'Next' to continue.
   The license key details will be displayed - Click 'Next' and continue.
   Go to step 5 below.

5. The next window you will see shows default Updater settings, make
   sure 'Auto' is selected. You will now see a Scan settings window
   followed by a Password feature - these should not be modified at this
   time, click Next.

6. There will be a short pause followed by a window asking you to
   choose which Protection Mode to use - select 'Basic protection' and
   click Next to finish the installation/setup.

7. You will be asked to reboot, after which you will be protected b
   KAV 2009 or KIS 2009.
