Protect vulnerable entry points
Email is a vulnerable virus entry point, accounting for approximately 90% of documented infections. Effective security depends on reliable protection for mail servers.
Management tools
Kaspersky Updater ensures error free downloading of antivirus database updates every three hours managed using standard Lotus notes tools and a dedicated web interface. The program can easily be installed from a remote location, using web installation tools which are the same for both Linux and Windows.
Full-scale scanning
Kaspersky Anti-Virus integrates with the Lotus Notes/Domino server as an additional module, and scans in real-time mode all messages transmitted by the system. The program checks attached archive and compressed executable files, attached mail format files and mail base files for viruses. Documents stored in Lotus Notes/Domino databases can be scanned on demand, or according to the schedule set by the system administrator.
Flexible configuration
The solution can be configured to block or delete malicious code on detection. Infected files can also be quarantined or treated. Notification is automatically sent to the system administrator, the sender and recipient of the infected message.
Reliable isolation of infected objects
All infected, damaged and suspicious objects are saved in a quarantine database created specifically for this purpose. Objects in this database are grouped according to the type of document in which the object was detected: i.e. a group for objects detected in databases and a separate group for objects detected in mail messages.
